Happy Halloween October 1, 2004 Tokyo Disneyland, Maihama, Japan What better place to see Halloween decorations in Japan than Tokyo Disneyland? I guess I can post these without paying some kind of rights fees to The Walt Disney* Company or Michael Eisner, but I wonder if they'll come after me to get some money back when their lawsuit against Michael Ovitz fails. Here's something that may surprise you: Tokyo Disneyland is not actually run by Disney* itself, but is owned and operated by Oriental Land Company, Ltd., under license. My guess is that this is one of those deals where Disney* keeps most of the profits, but if there are any losses they all go to the licensee.
